Updates to Artists’ Liberation Front

It’s been six months since we started the Artist Liberation Front, and we have been pleased and bit surprised by all the support from the crypto community for our Free and Open Source tool.

I would like to thank everyone that helped by encouraging us, sharing their knowledge, proof checking our code, as well as all the artists that helped with alpha testing.

So, without further ado here are some of the changes and updates.

We now have two contracts for the public to mint their own tokens:

ALF Version 2

It’s for Educational uses and Charities, as well as vetted Artists, friends of the ALF, which would like to create a project in a more curated space.

Artist Unleashed

Open to all, permissionless, any existing user can add a new minter. Just ask in our telegram channel. Censorship free.

ALF Variations and Clones

We are pleased that people have cloned our project’s github as a template or made their own variation to mint their NFTs.

One in particular we would like to highlight is the CSJR token by Cripto Conserje. He is using an ALF varitant: CriptoConserje (CSJR) to tokenize Venezuelan refugee children’s art for charity.

Future

The ALF is complete, for now.

We will consider doing updates in October 2019. In the meantime, we will be using the platform to tokenize Art and do some experiments with new ways to use NFTs. We will also be presenting and integrating other open source tools for artists on our site.

Thanks again for the support and encouragement.

Happy minting

Your Truly,

Johnny Dollar
